Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Entebbe Airport

• Meet & greet at Entebbe Airport.
  
  

• Transfer to hotel and relax.
  
  

• Optional visit to Entebbe Zoo or local beach.
  
  

• Enjoy local food at a restaurant for lunch.
  
  

• Optional Kampala city tour: Uganda Museum, National Theatre, religious sites, cultural centers, downtown Kampala.

Day 2: Entebbe → Bwindi NP

• Travel by domestic flight (Entebbe → Kihihi Airfield, 3 hrs) or road (approx. 7 hrs).
  
  

• Road option includes Equator stop, Mbarara town lunch, and cultural encounters.
  
  

• Check into Nshongi Camp and relax.
  
  

• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  
  

• Accommodation: Nshongi Camp
  
  

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking – Bwindi NP

• Early breakfast and 7 am briefing at Bwindi NP offices.
  
  

• Trek into rainforest with ranger to track gorillas (approx. 3 hrs).
  
  

• Spend 1 hour observing gorillas and taking photos.
  
  

• Receive gorilla tracking certificate.
  
  

• Return to Nshongi Camp for lunch and relaxation.

Day 4: Nshongi Camp → Lake Mutanda

• Walking transfer to Lake Mutanda, set against the backdrop of Mounts Muhabura, Gahinga, and Sabinyo.
  
  

• Canoe ride on the lake, visit islands, and walk through pristine vegetation.
  
  

• Afternoon exploration and relaxation.
  
  

• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5: Mount Sabinyo Hiking – Mgahinga Gorilla NP

• Early breakfast and briefing at Mgahinga NP offices.
  
  

• Hike Mount Sabinyo (approx. 8 hrs round trip, 14 km) guided by ranger with porter assistance.
  
  

• Spot wildlife: golden monkeys, forest elephants, L’hoest monkeys, birds, and occasionally gorillas.
  
  

• Summit offers views of Uganda, Rwanda, DRC, Virunga volcanoes, Lakes Bunyonyi & Mutanda, and Rwenzori Mountains.
  
  

• Descend to lodge for relaxation.
  
  

• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  
  

• Accommodation: Same as Day 4
  
  

Day 6: Mgahinga Gorilla NP → Entebbe Airport

• Breakfast and checkout.
  
  

• Travel by domestic flight or road back to Entebbe Airport.

• If flight is later: check into Entebbe hotel to relax; if immediate: proceed directly to airport.
